What we offer:
Istanbul Technical University provides wide range research spectrums on energy efficient buildings and cities. Particularly ITU research group has expertized on setting strategies for
• energy efficient buildings;
• energy efficient cities; environmental city modelling;
• building integrated renewable systems specifically PV and solar thermal;
• building information modelling (BIM) applications;
• building energy performance evaluation by modelling the single building as well as whole district;
• thermal energy storage management;
• indoor environment quality measurements;
• LCA and LCCA of the design process
The energy analyses are done by application of different simulation programs to evaluate different scenarios through analysing existing conditions and proposing alternative solutions both in architectural and technological aspects.

With an expert staff specialized for building energy simulations by following the latest versions of different kind of software as well as appropriate calculation methods, ITU obtains the results in an innovative approach in order to verify most reliable and up to date outputs. People from different backgrounds such as mechanical, environmental and electrical engineering, architects and research assistants from energy sector are key human resources of ITU’s group. ITU also has physical resources as assessment and evaluation instruments in order to analyse indoor environmental quality and other required parameters.

ITU delivers the solutions with a holistic approach from architectural through technical aspects with detailed results.
